The Elephant in the Room...

Hello Dear Friend,

“The brick walls are not there to keep us out; the brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something.”
~Randy Pausch

Randy Pausch was 47 years old when he died from pancreatic cancer. He was, as the Independent of London put it, “the dying man who taught America how to live.” His book, The Last Lecture, is an international best-seller and it offers many wonderful lessons about life.

Randy Pausch’s “last lecture” was delivered in September 2007, at Carnegie Mellon University, where he taught computer science. The lecture began with him standing before a screen beaming down chilling CT images of tumors in his liver, under the title...The Elephant in the Room. He then said to a stunned audience, “I have about 6 months to live.” He said, “I’m really in good shape, probably better shape than most of you,” ... dropping to the floor to do push-ups.

He went on to say, “I’m dying and I’m having fun, and I’m going to keep having fun every day I have left.” He talked about his childhood dreams and what they had taught him about life. He said, “If you live your life the right way, the karma will take care of itself...your dreams will come to you.”

Randy Pausch really was a dying man who has taught America how to live.

He died on July 25, 2008, but his wisdom, his passion, and his attitude are lasting sources of inspiration for all of us.

To My Wonderful Husband Happy Anniversary Mahal!

It is our 3rd year anniversary since we were married in Manhattan City Hall on April 21,2006! And I'm so glad I made the right choice the second time around! Or should I say God made the right choice for me? You are definitely the answer to my prayers! I thank God for you! With all my imperfections with flaws and all...despite all these things you still loved me anyway. I'm not saying you're perfect but, I don't care how corny this may sound...We are perfectly made for each other! And I'm glad God placed us in each others life at His Own Perfect time! Thank You Father God! In Jesus Name. Amen.

Hello Dear Friend,

Albert Einstein's View on War..."Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding."

"He who joyfully marches to music rank and file, has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action. It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder."

"Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding."

As a teenager I bought a poster of Albert Einstein with this quote in Greenwich Village. And everyday I would look at this amusing photo with this profound quote...I agree with Einstein and hope that others feel same way too.

NY News: Demi Moore Twitter Helps Save Life

Add Life Saving Tool to the growing number of uses for Twitter.

Demi Moore and her score of Twitter followers Friday helped thwart a possible suicide attempt by a distraught California woman.

"Getting a knife, a big one that is sharp. Going to cut my arm down the whole arm so it doesn't waste time," said the message sent to Moore by a user of the social networking site.

"Hope you are joking," wrote back Moore.

"Gbye...gonna kill myself now," the woman responded.

A San Jose police spokesman said the department had received a number of calls from Twitter users about the suicide threat and sent officers to the 48-year-old woman's home.

Moore's husband, Ashton Kutcher, Twitted his congratulations.

"Wifey reported a suicide attempt based on a...tweet she got and saved someones life. The woman is in the hospital now."
About 383,500 people follow Moore's Tweets.
